Sunday Funday: South Bay Cruise-Out! Daylight Savings Time may have ended, but the nautical fun hasn’t! Join ACSC as we sail a breezy reach across the South Bay and back. Savor the last bit of daylight before the shortest days of the year arrive! We’ll meet at ACSC around 12:30 PM to rig our boats, then cruise from the Encinal Boat Ramp across the South Bay before sailing back to the dock as a pack. After the sail, warm up with some complimentary hot cocoa and s’mores back at the ACSC site — no need to bring a thing! Time: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM Destination: The middle of the South Bay Boats: FJ, Feva, Laser Cost per boat: $40 ACSC will provide sailboats, life vests, optional wetsuits, and a safety boat with a certified sailing instructor on board. What to Bring: Closed-toe shoes and a change of dry clothes Requirements to Participate: Skippers must have completed a course with ACSC within the past two years or pass a boat checkout. The checkout includes a written knowledge test and an on-water skills assessment. It is recommended that crew members have some dinghy sailing experience. Please note: Sunday Fundays are weather-permitting. We sail only in conditions with winds under 15 mph.
