Join the fun in our popular Summer Shakespeare Fest, now in its third year. Speak, play, and act all things Shakespeare in this four-week immersion into the world of the Bard. Favorite sessions include stage combat, Shakespearean insults, and role playing life in Elizabethan times, with NMYA's principal teaching artists Rachel Ribeiro and Chris Nelson. Students will prepare scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and present a performance at 6 pm on Thursday, June 26 at our Shakespeare Fest for families. NEW: Shakespeare Fest is going on tour this summer! We will travel by bus to Bernalillo on Friday, June 27 for an afternoon performance at the Bernalillo Public Library! **Note: There are no prerequisites for participation in the Shakespeare Fest, but it is strongly recommended for students who are reading at their own grade level or above.**
