Introduction to Audiobook Narration

The Little Theatre of Alexandria • 600 Wolfe Street AlexandriaVA  22314 Organized by The Little Theatre of Alexandria

About this event

---Instructor: Doug Sanders--- Have you ever listened to a great audiobook? What made it so good? Was it the narrator’s ability to tell a compelling story, the depth and richness of characters brought to life, or the emotions the narrator’s voice evoked in you as you listened? It was likely all of the above. Whether you’ve ever wondered if you could do that or are simply curious to know how others do, come find out! This class will introduce students to the artistic side of audiobook narration. You’ll learn what it means to develop an authentic narrator voice, how to develop a repertoire of character voices, and how to convey information with emotion in the context of the storyline.
