The 66th annual Great River Road Run takes place on the scenic out and back coarse on the Great River Road. Run along side of the mighty Mississippi River. Pick your choice of distance, try the character building 10 mile or if you're not quite ready for that sign up for the 5k. This is the 66th running of this Great Alton tradition. All procedes go to support several other community events througout the year, A track series in June, The Family Glow run in August, A Runner of the year Banquet honoring 15 local high schools and our adopt a school program. Come join us on the Saturday after Thanksgiving!!

Event details and schedule

Races start at 9:00am, course is flat out and back on the Great River Road, packet pickup and race day registration, 7:00am to 8:30am, at Mac's in downtown Alton, 315 Belle St., there are several parking lots and some parking along the street. Pay attention to the weather report so you can dress correctly.
