Grade 9 - Adult. Step into the rhythm of the islands with our beginner hula dancing class. Whether you're new to dance or just curious about Hawaiian language and culture, come experience a joyful introduction to the art of hula. Learn basic posture, stance, hand motions and movements, understand the cultural and historical significance of hula, and perform a simple hula routine. By the end of the class, you should have the confidence to show off your newly learned skills to family and friends and have them cheering, "Hana Hou!" Please wear comfortable/athletic clothing, and be ready to experience what the Aloha Spirit is all about! Instructor: Elaine Simpson. 6 classes.
