Running club will meet on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm and all skill levels are welcome. We include Games & Activities; Incentives & Awards; Fun, Fitness & Friendships; End of Season Party; t-shirt; and Themed Runs which may include: barefoot running, trail running, speed + agility and obstacle course. Club members will have the opportunity to run in a local race with a buddy and other running club member.* Enrolled After School Program students receive a discount of $120, non-enrolled After School Program students register at the tuition of $150; we will validate enrollment rate once it's received. Running practices will consist of the following: * Discussion Topics * Run-Specific Drills & Logged Laps * Dynamic Warm-ups & Cool-downs * Lap Tracking & Shoe Charm Collection * Weekly Training Schedule for Runner & Parents sent home weekly Discussions topics will include: * Injury Prevention * Shoes * Cross Training * Mindful Running * Running Form * Progression * Race Day Preparations * Recovery & Rest What makes our club unique? We offer a personalized 5K training plan designed for both runners and their parents to follow together. As we progress week by week, this plan helps everyone prepare for our final 5K race, making it a shared journey toward achievement. Registration is non-refundable/non-transferable. * We will select a 5K race for club members to participate in once the Fall community race schedules are announced (participating in the race is not mandatory). Participants will be responsible for registering for the event separately and must ensure they have a running buddy for race day.
