A wildfire, earthquake, wide spread flooding, or other disaster could happen at any moment. Would your family know what to do? The Atascadero Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is offering their CERT: Basic Training course which teaches you basic disaster skills so you can prepare for, survive, and recover from emergencies and large scale disaster. This 20 hour class is intended for family members ages 15 and older. You will learn how to prepare for disasters, about CERT organization, basic first aid, the psychology of disaster, extinguish small fires, how to search structures and rescue victims, as well as learn about terrorism and hazardous materials.

Registration fee is $40 per family.
