Explore the Human Face in Clay and dive into the timeless art of portrait sculpture in this beginninglevel class designed for adults. Using oil-based, non-drying clay you’ll learn how to build a portrait from the ground up—starting with a wire armature and gradually shaping bone structure, facial features, and expression. Plastilina, Oil-based clay, gives you time to explore and refine your work over multiple sessions without worrying about the clay drying out. Through step-by-step guidance, you’ll develop your observational skills, learn fundamental sculpting techniques, and gain insight into the structure and rhythm of the human face. Work from photo references, mirrors, or optional skull model in a supportive studio environment. No prior experience needed, all skill levels welcome. *Plastilina clay will be provided for this class, not kiln fired clay. View the supply list here
