INTRODUCTION TO MACHINE SEWING/ Hellenne Vermillion
Saturday from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
July 12 (1 day Intensive)

What you will need to bring to the workshop:

• Sewing machine with bobbin for your machine type
• Sewing machine needles (preferably universal needles size 10 or 12, I use Schmetz needles)
• A spool of thread in either white, light grey, or grey or any color you have (preferably Gutterman or Mettler threads)
• Fabric scissors (Fiskars serrated ones are great, not pinking shears)
• Seam ripper
• Glass head pins, not plastic heads (Dritz extra-long glass head pins)
• Snacks and/or lunch and drinks for yourself.

*Masking is optional to register for this class. However, the instructor will be masked at ALL TIMES. Ages 16+

REFUND POLICY:

To receive a refund, students must submit their request at least 1 week before the first class. No refunds or transfers are guaranteed after this time. To withdraw from a class, you are required to email ChastainArts@AtlantaGA.gov and include your name, the class name, and your reason for withdrawal. The option to accept an account credit for the class withdrawal is preferred.

If a withdrawal/refund is requested after 1 week prior to or after the class has begun, a $30 administration fee will be deducted and only an account credit will be processed to be used for future class registrations, clay purchases, and future purchases in our gift shop & gallery. If a class has begun at minimum enrollment, we cannot process refunds or credits after the first class has already started. If you register for a class after the session has begun, only an account credit will be processed if a withdrawal is requested. Anyone registered for a figure class with a model will be required to pay the model fee on the first day of class with cash or check to the instructor. Even if you request a withdrawal after the first day of class, you will be required to pay the model fee calculated based on enrollment on the first-class meeting. The Chastain Arts Center is not responsible for classes missed due to student absences. Please discuss any unavoidable absences with your instructor.
