Instructor: Instructors: Denise Mundy & Kerrie Porter, EDAMCC Instructor
Join us for an 8-week sewing class that will teach students how to sew and create baby items. The curriculum is structured to progressively increase in complexity and covers both beginner and intermediate sewing skills. Participants will gain hands-on experience using a sewing machine while developing their skills in textile craftsmanship.
Projects:
- Bib
- Burp Cloth
- Receiving Blanket
- Infant Toy
- Crinkle Toy
- Diaper Bag
Materials Needed:
- Cotton fabric (2–3 yards assorted)
- Flannel (2–3 yards)
- Minky (optional for blanket or toys)
- Ribbons (1 yard total)
- Crinkle material
- Interfacing (fusible and/or sew-in)
- Snaps or Velcro
- Thread (coordinating colors)
- Bag hardware (snaps, D-rings, zippers)
- Notions: Sewing machine (some provided by EDAMCC; you may bring your own), Scissors, Seam ripper, Rotary cutter, Cutting mat, Quilting ruler, Pencil or fabric marking pen, Pins or clips
