To help maintain our urban forest and tree canopy as well as improve our environment, the City of Belmont hosts an annual tree give-away. We are offering 25 trees to Belmont residents! Before applying, please identify your first and second choice tree species, selected from the Preferred Tree Species List linked at the bottom of this page.

Trees are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, though priority will go to first-time applicants. One tree per household, and the tree must be planted on private property within City limits. The resident is responsible for planting, watering, pruning, and caring for the tree. Successful applicants can expect the 15-gallon tree to be delivered late November or early December.
