The Community Arts School (CAS) is committed to making quality arts education programming available to everyone. We raise funds to subsidize the cost of participation but there are many who still cannot afford to participate. The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) aims to provide a deeper subsidy to those who would not be able to participate due to financial limitations. POLICIES CAS reserves the right to award tuition assistance at its discretion. If you are interested in tuition assistance, you must first complete your TAP application. After the funding decision has been made, you will be directed to register online. Tuition assistance is awarded on a rolling basis. Applications are processed weekly, beginning in mid-August, but it can take up to 10 business days to receive a decision. You may apply twice per year. Tuition assistance is granted as a 25-50% discount on the class fee for a class of the applicant's choice. It is available on a first come, first served basis. Multiple factors are weighed by the TAP committee in awarding tuition assistance. ELIGIBILITY Any interested student who meets the income guidelines and submits a completed application form will be considered for tuition assistance. However, tuition assistance is not guaranteed. Please note: The applicant's household income must fall at or below 300% of the 2025 Federal Poverty Guidelines. Household Size...
