About this event
Are you ready to take your knitting to the next level? In this class you will learn intermediate knitting techniques and become a confident crafter! Have fun learning new methods for color, texture and shaping. You'll learn fair isle, intarsia, lace, ribbings, and more to incorporate into your knitting. We’ll focus on skillbuilding, creating swatches or a sampler scarf. For further projects, patterns will be provided or you can bring your own. Students with experience are welcome. No class 3/26, 4/2 Required Materials: For the first class please bring the following: -set of size 8 or 9 dpn or circular knitting needles -two (or three) balls of worsted smooth yarn (not textured) weight yarn in any two (or three) different colors of your choice -any other yarn or needles that you have on hand -tapestry needle Additional materials: -additional yarn and needles (dpn or circular needles sized for selected project) may be needed depending on your personal knitting and preference Optional materials: -scissors -ruler -gauge ruler -stitch counter -tote bag or plastic bag to store your knitting -cloth measuring tape -a pattern may be needed depending on your personal knitting and preference, select patterns will also be provided Please view our refund policy at artstudio.berkeley.edu/faqs
