About this event

Description

Drawing & Painting: Botanical Art /A Seasonal Sketchbook

Instructor: Barbara Holmer

Spring is a great time to start a new sketchbook to celebrate the upcoming Worldwide Day of Botanical Art. We will begin by constructing a small accordion sketchbook. Students will then select botanical subjects to draw or paint in their booklets using graphite, ink, colored pencil, and / or watercolor.*

Add to your booklet each week or create a new sketchbook for each subject.**

Botanical subjects and materials will be provided for the first sketchbook. Bring supplies for your chosen medium to the first class.

**After the first week, students have the option of making their own sketchbooks or using a sketchbook of their choice as suggested on the supply list.

*Prerequisite: Students should have some drawing background and previous experience using the medium of their choice!
