Drawing: An Introduction - Pt 1Instructor: Colleen Sanders
This introductory level drawing class is designedfor people with absolutely no previous art experience.Since drawing is the basic foundation for anyother art medium, including painting, sculptingand pastel, this class will help the student learnfundamental art vocabulary and techniques forseeing like an artist. Students will be introducedto subjects including line, spatial relationships,proportion, perspective, value and shading.Each skill will be added in succession—one ata time—as students understand the material.Instructor will provide a relaxing, stress-free, noncompetitiveenvironment conducive for learning.

White or Pink Eraser

Tortillion (blending stick)
Pencil Pouch or Box (to hold supplies)
Pocket Folder (to hold class hand-outs)
Optional Suggestion: Wear artist smock or old shirt to protect clothing
