Jewelry & Metalsmithing: Surface Embellishment

Various metalsmithing processes will be presented to enhance and enrich individual projects. These processes will be presented on a rotational basis. Some to be considered are:
Design concepts, bead construction, chain making, direct casting, colorants, foldforming, granulation, marriage of metal, resins, reticulation, and texturing techniques.
Prerequisite: The completion of a beginning and intermediate jewelry class including torch soldering.

Metals/Jewelry Department Students
All Jewelry/Metals students pay a fee to cover supplies, and the use of tools/studio equipment during the class periods.
Materials list of items to bring:-Please bring a small notebook and pencil to class-Wear close-toed shoes and long pants-Bring your own safety goggles, or you can share the studio goggles
