Painting: Botanical Art w/ Watercolor

Botanical art is an art form that combines scientific accuracy with artistic sensitivity and aesthetic. In this class, for new and returning students, we will cover controlled wet-in-wet watercolor techniques used in traditional botanical art. Demonstrations, practice exercises, color mixing, and botanical studies of plant structures will help students hone their skills in this special art form. Subjects will be provided. Bring all supplies to the first class.

*Prerequisite: Students should have basic drawing skills and some experience with watercolor.
