Painting Mixed Media: Therapeutic Art Practice - Creative Approaches to Well-Being
Instructor: Sheri Lee Robinson
What a wild ride life can be! We go upwards, downwards, move laterally, go in circles, triangles, squares, you name it. It can sometimes be a challenge to navigate through these great and fantastic waters with our familiar “motors and oars”. Why not use your innate creativity (we are ALL creative beings!) to make some fun therapeutic art that might be helpful in making you feel a bit better? As a Certified Art Therapy Practitioner, I will guide you in various artmaking techniques that are designed to help you in so many wonderful ways. Through integrative methods, therapeutic artmaking engages the mind, body, and spirit in ways that are distinct from verbal communication alone. Why not give it a try?
This course is designed and governed by me to be a safe, non-judgmental space for you to express yourself freely in. All are welcome.See you in the studio!
*NOTE: These are NOT professional art therapy sessions and I am not a licensed art therapist. I am a Certified Art Therapy Practitioner, an art instructor and a professional artist whose calling is to help others through the practice of making art.
