Creative Expressions: Mixed Media Art: Grades 6-8Instructor: Anne RitchieDive into the exciting world of mixed media art. In this hands-on course, students will explore the limitless possibilities of creativity by combining techniques and materials. Students will learn new ways to express their ideas and emotions through an array of mediums, including painting, drawing, collage and printmaking. Students will experiment with acrylic, watercolors, pastels, found objects, and recycled materials to create personal and unique artwork. Through guided lessons, we will develop essential art skills such as color theory, composition, texture creation and layering. Each student will engage in several individual projects culminating in a final piece that showcases their unique style and artistic voice.
