Ceramics: Clay & Glaze Chemistry for Ceramic Artists

This workshop is for students that want to learn more about clay and glaze interaction and how this ultimately affects your ceramic pieces.

• Understand the composition and properties

of different clay bodies and glazes.

• Experiment with raw materials to create custom

clay bodies and glazes.

• Develop problem-solving skills related to ceramic

chemistry (e.g., troubleshooting defects).

• Learn the basics of firing cycles and their impact

on glaze outcomes.
