Iris Folding Art Class
Participants will utilize an old technique from early 20th century Holland to called "Iris Folding" to create a small piece of art. Participants will fold paper strips of different colors in half and then one by one place them on the inside of a pattern, following the numbers on the pattern. The piece is complete when the center of the pattern, the “iris”, is reached. Please bring scotch tape and pointy scissors, if you have them. All other materials provided.
This is a beginner friendly class.
Instructor: Joy Weinstein is a former art teacher for Denver Public Schools, she still teaches locally and participates in art events and festivals.
