Perhaps you have experienced firsthand the growing challenges of working with children in today’s world—disconnection from self and others, anxiety, attention struggles, and a loss of curiosity and wonder. If you're an educator or caregiver seeking new ways to inspire engagement, foster emotional resilience, and create a sense of belonging, this program offers grounded, nature-based practices that support the whole child—while renewing your own sense of purpose and connection in the process. You will spend two days enjoying the beautiful Kiva Center outdoor learning space in Lefthand Canyon. This 80-acre captivating property features towering rock formations, dense pine forests, and the calming flow of the Lefthand Creek. The area offers a pristine and wild expanse, providing a picturesque backdrop for outdoor adventures and exploration. In this immersive, two-day journey, you will: > Explore storytelling as a tool for empathy, peacebuilding, and cultural transformation > Engage in citizen science and earth stewardship to bridge personal reflection with collective action > Connect with the land through sensory awareness, nature attunement, and guided presence practices > Deepen your understanding of human development through the lens of myth, archetype, and cultural stories > Craft and share your own story, with feedback, reflection, and the support of a courageous community > Reimagine your role as an educator, caregiver, or guide in these times of change > Immerse yourself in a healing and connective space with fellow professionals who face shared challenges and opportunities > Receive Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit for hours completed The price includes Saturday lunch through Sunday dinner and camping on August 2nd. Family members are welcome to join for the camping piece from 5pm Saturday to 8:30am Sunday for storytelling, overnight camping, and breakfast. Additional fees for family meals would be added.
