What is a Sound Bath?A sound bath is an immersive experience that involves laying or sitting on a mat or sitting in a chair and listening to resonant sounds from gongs, and crystal singing bowls. As the sound echoes it “bathes” you with soothing sound waves.
Yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, and chairs will be provided.
Studies Suggest Sound Baths:
- Lessen fatigue, anxiety, and tension while increasing feelings of well-being.
- Reduce symptoms of a negative mood and increase symptoms of a positive mood.
- Relax the muscles
- Activation of the parasympathetic nervous system suppressing the fight-or-flight response.
- Improve blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
- Can help relieve tinnitus (chronic ringing in the ear).
There is no evidence that sound baths heal or treat any medical condition.
Please note: If you have hearing aids, the sounds may be uncomfortable.
