If you already know how to play chess and find yourself struggling to beat your regular opponents, this course will teach you tactics that will improve your winning percentage. Forks, skewers, pins, and discovered checks are among the tactics we will practice, Chess is not only a fun game, it teaches thinking skills such as strategizing, logic, visualizing, concentrating, discipline, spatial reasoning and so much more. It is a great game for families and friends. This workshop may not make you a grand master yet. But it will show you how to keep improving your game. Chess boards will be provided but participants are encouraged to get one for themselves as well. Grab a friend or family member of any age and come join the fun. Minimum students required: 2
