This 2-hour workshop may not make you a grand master yet, but if you want to go beyond the beginner level and learn the principles that chess winners know, this is for you. You will learn how to open the game, place your pieces in strong positions, and polish off your opponent in the end game. Chess is not only a fun family game, it teaches thinking skills, strategizing, logic, visualizing, concentrating, discipline, spatial reasoning and so much more. It is a great game for families and friends. Chess boards will be provided but participants are encouraged to get one for themselves as well. Grab a friend or family member of any age, and come join the fun. Or come on your own and we'll get you a partner. Minimum students required: 2
