Description
Join the AMGA accredited climbing wall staff at the recreation center Learn to Top Rope Class, all skill levels welcome! Ages 15+Our goal is to learn or review: proper harness fitting, belay and climbing commands, belay technique, figure 8 with follow through, double overhand knot, belaying using a manual braking belay device with the PBUS/PLUS system.
If you have your own harness, shoes and/or belay device, please bring these with you as equipment rentals are not included with this class.
The Top Rope class is one hour and fifteen minutes.Each class is limited to twelve participants.Learn to Top rope is free to valid pass holders and day pass holders.
(PLEASE NOTE: NO CERTIFICATIONS WILL BE GIVEN AT THIS CLASS ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SCHEDULE THEIR CERTIFICATION TEST AT LEAST 24 HOURS AFTER A LESSON)
During the summer months we will not be hosting this monthly drop-in.
