Luminary and Double Walls taught by Kim Winther Saturday, September 6th, 1-4pm Join us for a hands-on wheel throwing workshop led by Kim Winther. Elevate your pottery skills by mastering techniques to design and craft stunning double-walled vessels that defy convention. Kim will also teach you how to make ceramic luminaries that can be lit from within by a tea candle. All experience levels are welcome but should be confident throwing cylinders. If time permits, closed form luminaries will also be taught. Supplies: Please note that clay is not included in this workshop, you will have to bring your own clay. If you are a student, we have clay available for purchase in the studio. Things to bring: Exacto knives, scalpels and/or fettling knives, and pottery calibers are suggested to bring. Important: Please bring at least 2 leather hard vessels to practice carving.
