On Wednesday, October 15th BASIS Independent Brooklyn will offer the PSAT/NMSQT exam to all students in grade 11. This is a practice exam 11th graders. This exam, which will be administered digitally at our school this year, is the qualifying test for such prestigious awards as the National Merit Scholarship for Grade 11 students. Additionally, it is a good indicator of student preparedness for college and the SAT exam. Due to our strong belief in the importance of this exam, we will require Grade 11 students to take the test unless the ParentSquare form is filled out, indicating that you do not wish for them to participate. If students wish to take the test, please indicate it below and pay for the test via the ACTIVE link below by Wednesday, September 10th. Students who are available and interested in taking the test are encouraged to use the following website to review for the exam: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10/inside-the-test. The schedule for 11th graders on Wednesday, October 15th will be as follows: 8:00 AM [Arrival & check-in] 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM [Pre-Administration] 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM [PSAT/NMSQT] All teachers have been informed that 11th graders will be sitting for this exam on Wednesday, October 15th.
