About this event
The act of careful observation and interpretation of an object on a flat surface develops skill and is a calming activity. Drawing requires one to slow down and look very carefully at what is in front of you. You will be given tips and tricks to break down an object into basic shapes. See how to create 3/D value, texture and effects of light on an object. Learn to draw from direct observation. We will follow the basic process of careful observation, creation of basic shapes, refining shapes and creating value and details to bring a drawing to life. The instructor will provide a significant collection of natural objects to choose from. You will have the option to create a simple lighting observation box that can aid in drawing. Beginner to advanced students welcome! Supply list will be sent to all participants once we know class will run. About Debra: Debra Bickford has lived in the Buxton and Hollis area for over 50 years.
