About this event
Course Objective: The primary objective of this course is to familiarize all service members, including those without medical backgrounds, with the principles and basic lifesaving skills presented in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). TCCC is a set of medical guidelines specifically developed for providing effective care in combat and other high-risk tactical environments. Curriculum: The TCCC-ASM Tier-1 course covers key aspects of TCCC, including: Injury Assessment: Participants learn how to assess injuries and prioritize care based on the severity of injuries. Hemorrhage Control: Techniques for controlling severe bleeding, which is a common and critical issue in combat situations. Airway Management: Basic principles and strategies for maintaining airways to ensure that casualties can breathe effectively. Respiratory Management: Participants are taught how to address respiratory issues that may arise in a combat environment. Circulation Management: Strategies for addressing circulatory problems, including shock and hypotension. Head Injuries/Hypothermia Management: Strategies to managing (traumatic brain injuries) TBIs and hypothermia in a combat environment.
