MONDAY, 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM - On-ice Group SessionApril 7 - June 23, 2025Program is located at West Hillhurst Arena.

• Ages 5 yrs old and up.
• Fees are prorated based on start date.
• Must purchase valid WHCA Community Membership & Annual Skate Canada Membership before registering for this program.

Registration Details:

• Total 45-min on-ice group session.
• For beginner figure skaters moving up from Canskate with little to no figure skating experience (0-2 yrs). Skaters must have passed CanSkate Stage 3 or higher.
• This program will focus on developing the fundamentals of figure skating and will introduce the 3 main disciplines of figure skating (skills, freeskate and dance).
• Private, semi-private or small group on-ice lessons are available upon request for additional fees during the session.
• CSA Approved Hockey Helmets remain mandatory for this program.
• NO SKATING - Monday, April 21 (make-up session Thursday, June 26) OR Monday, May 19 for Victoria Day

Equipment Requirements:

• Mandatory CSA Approved Hockey Helmet
• Proper fitting Figure Skates (very important for preventing foot/ankle injuries and for better skating progression).
• Hair tied back away from skater’s face.
• Appropriate skating attire (skating dress or athletic wear are acceptable) and must have warm gloves.
• Complimentary equipment consultation is available.
