SATURDAY, 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM - On-ice SessionApril 12 - June 21, 2025Program is located at West Hillhurst Arena.- Adults: Ages 18 and up; Teens: Ages 13 and up
- Fees are prorated based on start date.
- Must purchase valid WHCA Community Membership & Annual Skate Canada Membership before registering for this program.
Registration Details:
- Total 1-hr on-ice group lesson.
- For beginner adult and teen figure skaters with little to no figure skating experience (0-2 yrs). MUST have basic skating skills including forward stride, backward skating, stopping and gliding.
- This program will focus on developing the fundamentals of figure skating and will introduce the 3 main disciplines of figure skating (skills, freeskate and dance).
- No Skating - Saturday, April 19 OR Saturday, May 17
Equipment Requirements:
- Mandatory CSA Approved Hockey Helmet
- Proper fitting Figure Skates (very important for preventing foot/ankle injuries and for better skating progression).
- Hair tied back away from skater’s face.
- Appropriate skating attire (skating dress or athletic wear are acceptable) and must have warm gloves.
