SATURDAY, 9:15 - 9:45 AMApril 12 - June 28, 2025Program is located at West Hillhurst Arena.

• Ages 3 to 5 yrs old.
• Fees are prorated based on start date.
• Must purchase valid WHCA Community Membership & Annual Skate Canada Membership before registering for this program.
• *Parents AND Skaters are required to have both a valid WHCA Community Membership and Annual Skate Canada Membership. Each attending parent must enroll in the PARENT program to participate.

Registration Details:

• Total 30-mins on-ice group session
• Parented program
• For beginner skaters who have never skated before. Skaters will learn the basics of skating such as fall down/get up, balance on 2 feet, move forward, move backward and more.
• This is the perfect program if your young skater is a little shy, it allows parents to work with their skaters and a professional coach to develop their basic skating skills.
• Parents get ready to be hands on with your child to help them succeed.
• No Skating - Saturday, April 19 OR Saturday, May 17

*CSA Approved Hockey Helmets and proper-fitting lace-up style skates are mandatory for both skaters and parents in this program. Adults participating should have at minimum basic skating experience and be able to assist their skater.
West Hillhurst Skating Club does not rent skates.

Equipment Requirements:

• A CSA approved hockey helmet is mandatory.
• A pair of warm, waterproof gloves/mitts is mandatory.
• Proper fitting Hockey Skates or Figure Skates (very important for preventing foot/ankle injuries and for better skating progression).
• Hair tied back away from skater’s face.
• Temperature appropriate clothing (example snow pants and winter jackets) recommended.
• Complimentary equipment consultation is available.
