Description
*This program meets the Alberta OHS standard for Intermediate first aid workplace training (CSA Standard Z1210-17)
The Red Cross Intermediate (Standard) First Aid blended program combines online theory with a one-day skill class. The theory and information is conveyed to the participants outside of the classroom though an online component (approximately 8 hours) and allows for the classroom time to focus on skill development and theory application.
NOTE: The online portion must be completed prior to the date of face to face instruction.
Course content includes: all course components of SFA with the addition of treatment for head and spine injuries; bone, muscle and joint injuries; wound care; sudden medical emergencies and environmental emergencies. This is a recognized course for workplace environments by Occupational Health and Safety.
ATTENTION: If you need both a CPR and First Aid certification, register in a First Aid course ONLY, as all First Aid courses include CPR-C.
