Week 9 7th - 10th grade Astronomy class September 27th (November 8th rain date) Guided Star Gazing Event We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be adding an astronomy class to Week 9 of our summer camp schedule. This class will be taught by one of our award-winning professional instructors and will offer an incredible opportunity for students to explore the wonders of the cosmos. In addition, we’re planning a companion astronomy seminar and night sky viewing event this fall at Aradyn, our stunning 170-acre property in Wolfe County, just beyond Red River Gorge. While the summer day camp and the fall off-site event are designed to complement each other, each will also stand alone as a unique experience. Students and families can choose to attend either program—or both—for a deeper dive into astronomy. Details about the fall program’s schedule and pricing are still being finalized. However, we’d love to hear from anyone interested in either or both of these experiences so we can keep you informed as plans come together. We’ll be publishing information about the summer camp session for students in grades 7 through 10 in the coming days. We also hope to share more details soon about the fall event, which will likely take place on a weekend, probably Saturday. The off-site experience will feature an optional late afternoon seminar, followed by a guided night sky viewing session using provided telescopes. We also anticipate offering families the option to camp at Aradyn on Friday and/or Saturday night.
