Course Description: Celebrate the holiday season through baking in this 8-week hands-on cookie course! Each week, participants will create two different festive cookie recipes that are both gluten-free and dairy-free, perfect for sharing with family and friends. All recipes are designed to be baked right away—no chilling or setting required—so participants can enjoy their sweet creations fresh out of the oven. Lunch not provided. Bring a packed lunch. Through this program, learners will: · Build confidence using baking tools and kitchen equipment · Practice following step-by-step recipes in a supportive environment · Explore a variety of cookie flavors and textures, from classics to creative twists · Strengthen skills in kitchen safety, teamwork, and cleanup routines · Experience the joy and independence of baking from start to finish This course is designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and focuses on clear instructions, simple ingredients, and a fun, festive atmosphere filled with seasonal cheer.
