Explore the mile-long, wave-like lava tube cave in Flagstaff, Arizona. Formed roughly 700,000 years ago by molten rock, the cave presents a chance to unearth nature's creativity and learn firsthand how volcanic heat causes rock to partially liquefy and drip. Transportation included; bring a sack lunch or enjoy an independent lunch in Flagstaff.
Hikers must bring at least 1/2 gallon of water and wear proper hiking footwear. Please note that hike ratings are universal; the rating is NOT adjusted for the anticipated participant age or ability level.
