Learn to arrange, light, draw, and paint a still life acrylic painting. Using objects inspired by nature and the southwest, complete your work of art step by step over 3 weeks. Students must provide their own painting supplies. Contact the Nature Center for the supply list.

Paints – Titanium white, cad yellow lt, Orange, Alizarin crimson, Hooker’s green, Cerulean blue, Dioxazine Purple, Burnt Sienna and Burnt umber. Ivory Black (Optional).Hog Hair Bristle Artist Brushes #8, #6 and #4 Filberts or Flats, #2 round bristle. Soft synthetic Artist brush #4 Flat or Filbert. Palette Knife. 2H pencil and small 8” x 10” sketch pad. Soft Charcoal for drawing. 9x12 canvas or Linen boards. Linen will give you a smoother finish. Palette – The throw away paper palettes are a good start.
