Get to know the trees of the forest during our Falling for Foliage ID hike on the Northwest Nature Quest! On this 2-mile hike, we will explore the forest floor to identify tree species by their leaves, using field guides and dichotomous keys. We will also collect leaves to identify together and discuss what tree rings can tell us about a tree's age and history.

This program is perfect for those who enjoy learning about trees and the science behind their growth. Free program. Registration required. Dress for the weather and 2-mile hike. Comfortable, closed-toed shoes recommended. This program is recommended for mature audiences, but all ages are welcome!
