Get ready to look underneath logs and explore the world of bugs during our Insect Investigation, part of the Northwest Nature Quest! On this 2-mile hike, we will search for insects hiding under logs and leaf litter, observe their fascinating behaviors, and learn about their life cycles. We will also discuss methods for bug observation and how to identify the critters we find.
Whether you are a budding entomologist or just curious about the tiny creatures that call the forest home, this adventure is perfect for all ages! Free program. Registration required. Dress for the weather and 2-mile hike. Insect repellant, sunscreen, water, and comfortable, closed-toed shoes recommended. This program is recommended for mature audiences, but all ages are welcome!
