Description
Middle and high school teachers are encouraged to join Historical Services staff for a workshop about incorporating primary sources into their instruction on school desegregation and the Civil Rights Movement.Earn at least 1.5 hours of professional development (PD) credit, helping to meet state licensure renewal requirements, specifically by developing understanding African American history. This professional development opportunity is organized as part of Old Dominion University’s and Virginia Commonwealth University’s “Empowering Educators at Cultural Institutions," a project funded by the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) program. Content created and featured in partnership with the TPS program does not indicate an endorsement by the Library of Congress.
