Outdoor Adventure is a special event presented in collaboration with Chesapeake, Norfolk, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and James City County Therapeutic Recreation. Spend a morning exploring Lake Smith/ Lake Lawson Natural Area with friends from local cities, taking part in activities & demonstrations centered around nature-based activities! Activities will range from hiking, fishing demos, birding, & master gardening (horticulture) demos. Dress ready to participate in active activities and wear athletic shoes. The event is from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Drop-off is at 9:30 a.m. and pick-up is at 2:30 p.m. at the Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism Administrative Office and Visitor Center, 1224 Progressive Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
