Prerequisite: Successful completion of Cosmetology I with CCPS Adult Continuing Education.

This is the second part of a two-semester course. During this course students will build upon both theoretical and practical knowledge from Cosmetology 1. Students will gain advanced technical experience in the areas of hair styling, cutting, chemical texturizing and coloring while maintaining professionalism and best practices for safety and sanitation. Students will review theory for the Virginia State Board Written exam and prepare for the Virginia State Board Practical exam with hands on practice. Students are required to complete an apprenticeship of 36 hours a week for a total of 3,000 hours before taking the exam. Testing fee not included.
