Description

During this presentation participants will learn about the history of one of the more unique recreational areas in Chesterfield County along Historic Route 1 with it's brick cottages, lake, dance hall, and restaurant. Prior to construction of Interstate 95, Route 1 was the major artery running from Maine to Florida and various motor courts and hotels dotted the landscape. Moore's Lake was one of the more popular area.
