The annual Memorial Day program will be held at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds. This program will honor those military personnel who died in the service of their country. The theme of this year's program will be commemorating the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the Vietnam War and America's involvement in this conflict. The program will include presentation of wreaths, color guard, a guest speaker, musical performances, military displays, and exhibitors.

Chesterfield County invites its employees and residents to attend the annual Memorial Day Ceremony, which will take place this year on Monday, May 26 at 2 p.m. inside the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Building at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds (10300 Courthouse Road).
In addition to comments from Board of Supervisors Chair Jim Ingle (Bermuda District), the ceremony will focus on the theme “County Moment of Remembrance” as those in attendance will hear about the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall during what is the 50th anniversary of the war’s end this year.
Patriotic musical selections will be played during the ceremony as the event pays tribute to those from Chesterfield who have given their lives in service of our country, particularly those who died in Vietnam, culminating with a live rendition of “Taps.”
