If you are in grade 6-12 and enjoy tackling challenges and standing up for what you believe in and using your voice, or if you're simply curious about the life of a lawyer, then Project Law is for you! Project Law is an immersive program designed to inspire and empower Girl Scouts in grades 6-12 by providing them with a hands-on introduction to the legal profession. This dynamic program offers a unique opportunity to learn from women lawyers and judges, who serve as mentors, guiding the participants through the ins and outs of the law and the legal field. Through this program, Girl Scouts will get to experience: -Mentorship: Each participant will be paired with a female lawyer who will share insights about their career, challenges they’ve faced, and what it takes to succeed in the legal profession. -Mock Trial: The girls will have the chance to step into the shoes of a lawyer, preparing and presenting their own case in a mock trial in a real-life Federal court room! This hands-on experience will help them develop critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills. -Career Exploration: The program will also provide guidance on how you can pursue your dream career by being your authentic self, using your voice, and challenging yourself.
