About this event
Description
This traditional Japanese technique requires no bookbinding background and is an excellent place to start your bookbinding journey. Originating from the Japanese period 1603-1867, Japanese stab binding is a simple, yet elegant style of bookbinding, known as Yotsume Toji, meaning "four holes". Stab binding is an easy, beautiful way to bind blank paged notebooks, sketchbooks, and journals. The process will allow each student the opportunity and freedom to add their own creative touches to their books. No previous experience needed, and all supplies will be provided by instructor. Each student will leave with at least one hand bound book.Activity Secondary Category
