Gather your friends and discover the basics of a new adventure activity or improve your skills with our certified instructors when schools are closed. Choose from target archery, rock climbing, fishing, canoeing/kayaking and more. Meeting location and minimum age requirements vary by activity. See current listings or contact us for additional opportunities. Friends & Family Adventures are ONE 90 min or 2 hour program on various dates.No experience necessary and all equipment supplied; adventures meet the introductory requirement to participate in future HCRP target archery or kayaking programs. Each section is one registration for up to three participants - one or two additional participants may be added for an additional $25 fee. Friends & Family Adventures are ONE 90 min or 2 hour program available on various dates this spring. No experience necessary and all equipment supplied for use during the program.
Target Archery: Minimum age 8yrs, max of 5 archers. 90 min lesson, start times vary. Location: Alpha Ridge Park
Kayaking:Minimum age 10yrs, max of 4 participants. 2 hour lesson, start times vary. Minimal swimming ability required. Location: Centennial Park South.
Fishing: Minimum age 6yrs, max of 5 anglers. 2 hour lesson, start times vary. Location: Centennial Park South.
Rock Climbing: Minimum age 6yrs, max of 4 climbers. 90 min lesson, start times vary. Location: Roger Carter Community Center Climbing Wall.
