The Office on Aging and the Health Department are collaborating to offer the Healthy Heart Ambassador (HHA) Program, which is a free 4-month program to help adults with high blood pressure learn how to monitor their blood pressure and make heart-healthy food choices. Participants attend bi-weekly 90-minute group sessions, receive a free blood pressure monitor, and get support from a trained lifestyle coach about healthy eating and habits like the DASH diet, using less salt, and choosing healthy fats.
