Participants learn basic kitchen safety and food prep. Explore cooking with amicrowave, oven, stove, and no-bake recipes. Each person makes items withthe group and has the option to take food home or eat it during the program.Serve food made to each other and to participants of the Conversations andCulinary program. Must be able to function in a 1:5 staff-to-participant ratio.Goals: demonstrate safe use of cooking utensils and use of appliances andexplore new recipes for healthy cooking. Please do not arrive at programs more than five minutes before the start of the program. Be ready to leave as soon as the program is over. Supervision is not provided before the scheduled start time. Excessive early drop-offs and late pick-ups may result in being dropped from the program.
